ଜଣେ 86 ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କା ମହିଳା ତାଙ୍କ ବାମ ତୃତୀୟ ଆଙ୍ଗୁଠିରେ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ହେଉଥିବା, ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାହୀନ ଗଠନ ସହିତ ପ୍ରାୟ 1.0 × 0.5 × 0.5 ସେ.ମି. ଆକାରରେ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ଶଳ୍ୟଚିକିତ୍ସା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଏହି ଗୁଣ୍ଡକୁ ବାହାର କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ମାଇକ୍ରୋସ୍କୋପ୍ ଅଧୀନରେ ପରୀକ୍ଷଣରେ ସ୍ପିଣ୍ଡଲ୍ କୋଷଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ଏକ ଦଉଡି ପରି କିମ୍ବା ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିତ ପ୍ୟାଟର୍ନ ସହିତ ଏକ ଡର୍ମାଲ୍ ଟ୍ୟୁମର୍ ଦେଖାଗଲା। ସେଠାରେ କୌଣସି ଅସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କିମ୍ବା କକ୍ଷ ବିଭାଜନ ନଥିଲା। ଏହା ଏକ ପେରିଉଙ୍ଗୁଆଲ୍ ଫାଇବ୍ରୋମା (periungual fibroma) ଭାବରେ ଜଣାଶୁଣା, କନେକ୍ଟିଭ୍ ଟିସୁର ଏକ ଅ-କାର୍କିନୋଜ୍ ଅଭିବୃଦ୍ଧି।
